Utah Appliance Removal runs a one-page website for booking appliance removal and haul-away pickups. This page explains what we collect, why, and who else sees it. Short version: we collect what we need to come pick up your appliance, and we don't sell it.
What we collect
- What you send us. Your name, phone number, pickup address or cross-streets, which appliances you need removed, your preferred day, any notes you add, and any photo you choose to attach.
- How you found us. If you arrived from an ad or a search result,
the campaign details in the link (
utm_source,utm_medium,utm_campaign,gclid,fbclid) are included at the bottom of the message the booking form writes for you, so we can see which ads are working. - Basic site analytics. Aggregate visit data, plus which buttons get tapped — calls, texts, quote calculations, and form submissions. This is counted in aggregate; it isn't used to build a profile of you.
Why we collect it
To contact you about your pickup, quote it correctly, find your address, know what to bring, and understand which ads are worth paying for. That's it.
Text messages
When you give us your phone number, you're asking us to text or call you about your pickup. We use it for that request and follow-up about it — not for marketing blasts. Reply STOP at any time and we'll stop texting.
The booking form doesn't send us anything by itself
Worth being clear about, because it's unusual: this website has no database and no form service behind it. When you fill in the booking form and press the button, nothing is transmitted to us. The form simply writes your answers into a message and opens your own texting app — or your email app, if you're on a computer — with that message ready to go. Until you press send, your details never leave your device, and you can edit or scrap the message first. When you do send it, it arrives as an ordinary text or email from you to us.
Who else sees it
We don't sell your information and we don't share it for advertising. It reaches these third parties only because they run parts of this site:
- Your phone carrier or email provider. Whoever normally carries your texts or email carries this message too, exactly as with any other message you send. No form-processing company sits in the middle.
- Our web host. Serves this page and keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses.
- Analytics and advertising tools. Google Analytics and the Meta (Facebook) advertising pixel, which measure ad performance and set cookies.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
Cookies and tracking
Our analytics and advertising tools set cookies and similar identifiers. You can block these in your browser settings or with an ad blocker; the site works fine without them. Facebook and Google each publish their own controls for opting out of ad personalization.
How long we keep it
We keep pickup requests as long as we need them for scheduling, receipts, and tax records, then delete them.
Children
This site isn't aimed at children and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Your choices
Want to see what we have about you, correct it, or have it deleted? Call or text 435-999-2567 or email haulaway@utahapplianceremoval.com and we'll take care of it. The only information we can't delete is what we're required to keep for tax or accounting purposes.
Changes to this policy
If we change how any of this works, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
